Day 19 - Copenhagen
Quiet day today, great views from our apartment this morning, even watched 2 blokes jump in the canal for their cold water wake up!!
When we arrived yesterday we were greeted by Thomas , the owner, who lives in the next building. He told us to take any rubbish out to the bins on the street - sounded a bit weird but now we know why - this is how big they are underneath and how they empty them. All Scandinavian countries are VERY eco friendly, loads of electric cars and buses - however a lot of them still smoke??
Frederik's church
Terrible pic, but who cares !!
Changing the Guard
We then went on to the Little Mermaid, which we only saw from behind when we did the canal tour
There are sooooo many bikes here, they even have their own little traffic lights under the car version (you might have to enlarge the pic to see)
Next stop City Hall then we had some lunch and headed back to the apartment. I wanted to finish the washing and we also watched a movie. We then walked back over to the big shopping centre to get some dinner but there was an evacuation alarm going off and fire engines arriving so that put that idea on the back burner.Ended up at the nearby supermarket for some easy food. We have a very early start in the morning as it is almost a 2 hour drive to the next golf course - Great Northern Golf Course
