Day 22 - The Scandinavian - Old Course
We had a great sleep in the Guesthouse and woke to the distant sound of the mowers and blowers on the course. Packed up and headed over to the clubhouse where we were again greeted like olf friends - they were so delightful.
Tee time 9am for our last round in Scandinavia. Weather was perfect again, started at 6 degree's but quickly got to 14, most of the game played in just a golf shirt. Started behind a group of 4 but they let us through after a couple of holes and we really didn't see anyone else the whole round. I found this course a little easier than the New Course although there were still plenty of bunkers and lots of water to contend with.
Back of the Guesthouse
I had 17 points on the front 9 but faded on the back, I finished up winning by 1 point.

We cleaned our clubs then headed in for a shower in the luxurious locker rooms, then had lunch in the cafe. Finished packing the golf packs and headed off to the airport. The traffic really is awful in Copenhagen. For a country that prides itself on being Eco Friendly there are sooooo many cars, and so many accidents - luckily the one we saw today was gping to other way but the traffic was backed up for at least 10km or more. In Gothenberg (and Stockholm) there is a congestion tax so the city was pretty empty of cars, such a difference.
Checked in - first flight to Helsinki, then Helsinki to Singapore and the the flying Kangaroo home to Brisbane at 6am Saturday morning - just in time to watch to AFL final, Ryder Cup and Bledisloe Cup, hopefully they will keep us awake.
I have loved every minute of this trip (except the cobblestones on the first day - i have a GP appointment booked on Monday to sort out a few lingering issues and a dentist appointment Thursday to get the chipped teeth fixed).
Norway was VERY expensive, Denmark next in line but Sweden was fairly comparable to Australia. The people are very friendly with their Haj Haj greetings, however they do not move out of your way when you are walking and they seem to shout very loudly when in a group conversation. They all speak English and we have been met with so much kindness and helpfulness - a great place to visit.
The item that I am most glad I brought with me was my woolen socks - no cold feet. Although we have been super lucky with the weather and didn't need as much thermal wear as I thought we would. Highlight - there are too many to choose from, although Lofoten Links has to be up there as a very very special few days.
See you all back in Australia soon. Thanks for listening xxx
