Day 13 - Sands Golf Club to Gothenberg

Checked out of Hotel Vox after breakfast and headed to Sand Golf Club for a 9am tee time. The weather forecast was not good however when we left the hotel the sun was shining, by the time we arrived it had started to sprinkle with rain and it was a cool 12 degree's . This was a totally different style of course to all the others we had play - sand dunes and very much links style.

1st Hole

The course looked wonderful and we came well prepared for cold and wet weather so we put on our wet weather gear and headed off. The 2nd hole was interesting, there was a bunker on top of one of the sand dunes, have never seen that before!!

2nd hole

By the end of the 9th hole the rain dried up and the sun came out which was great, still cool though at 13 degree's.

Sean birdied this hole - 15th

Sean played well today and finished with 33 points, I had 17 on the back 9 and finished with 28 points. Thoroughly enjoyed this course, all the holes were different and interesting.

Beautiful hole - reminded me of Ireland

We had lunch in the clubhouse and then headed off for a 2 hour drive to Gothenberg. Checked in to the Quality Inn Waterfront and were given a great room overlooking the water.

We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant - pork for me and Veal Schnitzel for Sean - very nice. Time for some planning as we have a sightseeing day tomorrow
