Day 12 - Bro Hof Slott to Jonkoping

No rush to get up today, breakfast then checked out of Hotel Gio and headed to Bro Hof Slott Golf Club, about 30 mins away. Weather was overcast and cold, clearly it had rained overnight, although we didn't hear anything 😴

This course is rated #1 in Sweden and Scandinavia in most of the journals. The beautiful gates opened up to let us drive up the grand driveway to the amazing Castle clubhouse. (Slott means Castle).

Arriving at Bro Hof Slott GC - very posh!!

We checked in at the pro shop and Sean went to the range - they have TrackMan on every practice space - again very cool!

We teed off at 11am on the Stadium Course, no one in front and no one behind. The other course here is the Castle Course. The weather was very cloudy and quite cold for the first 9 and the ground was very wet underfoot - they must have had way more rain than we did in Stockholm? I started well and had 17 points on the front 9.

1st Hole

Every 2-4 holes you come back to a halfway house with food available, toilets, water etc.. Great idea.

Half way house
Gradually the clouds cleared and the sun came out. It was a very flat course so perspective in the pics is not very good, but there was loads of water and a big lake, with thousands of geese seemingly getting ready to head south for the winter??

Sean had a good back 9 with 17 points - it turned out that we tied our score at the end. The 15th was an awesome Par 5 that went around the lake

The following 2 holes were both Par 3's - the 17th having an Island Green (Sean has a nice par there)

The last hole was a par 4 around water and Sean finished with a nice Birdie. It was a wonderful course and a lovely day out . We went inside after and had some lunch, the clubhouse was very ornate.

We then drove 4 hours to Jonkoping, check into Vox Hotel, again with the teeny tiny rooms!! Golf again tomorrow then heading further South.
