Day 11 - Stockholm
Had a little Sunday sleep in, woke up hearing rain on the window, but it had cleared by the time we went for breakfast
Onto the bus and off to The Old Town, this area has the Royal Palace, the Nobel Peace Museum and lots of narrow cobblestone streets (and yes, I HATE cobblestones!!), the buildings are all coloured and they are full of cafe's for Fika (Swedish word for coffee and company) and souvenir shops.
We then hopped on a random ferry, but it just did a 4 stop loop so not very adventurous. Next random travel was on a bus - it did take us through the city and out to the port area. There were loads of cruise ships in today - we chatted to a Kiwi couple from Palmerston North who were heading back to their ship.
There was not much there, but a ferry was leaving so we jumped on board and it took us to Nacka Strand (we briefly stopped here the other day on the ferry but we didn't get off then). We had a nice lunch in the restaurant there - finally tried Swedish meatballs which are served with Lingonberries and pickled cucumber - absolutely delicious.
